I am Hart Deer, an Atlanta musician. I specialize in rock, jazz, and classical music. My music has been classified as art rock, progressive rock, or even classic rock; but my goal is to create stylistically unique revolutionary music. I currently exist within the confines of the Atlanta music scene, but the envisioned scope of my artistic reformation is national, perhaps even global.
In short, my music is Rock 'n' Roll. At its worst, Rock music has been relegated to cheesy pop cliches. At its height, Rock is the music of protest, freedom, war, love, and triumph. Artistically, there are no hard rules... Rock can go anywhere, do anything. For Rock 'n' Roll to live, the music must be joined with the human experience of the event, and brave actions that turn the world upside-down, always controversially, but sometimes with purpose and resonance that defy the apathy of our times.
I know this all sounds very idealistic and maybe even melodramatic. There is no text blurb I can dish out that will get it across properly. If you are a lover of the old garde of artistic rock music that peaked in popularity from the late 60's to early 70's, you might already dig what I'm saying. If you are spiritually or even socially aware, you might be deeply concerned about the moral and cultural degeneration around you, and you might perceive a need for some kind of catalyst to inspire men and women of good conscience to higher attainments. If you are Oprah Winfrey, I can even give you what you want as well.
